Mandopop veteran Johnny Chiang will bring his 2026 Johnny “Looking Back, My Heart Remains” Tour concert to Arena of Stars on Feb 28, 2026, at 6pm, for an unforgettable night of music, memories and emotion. With a career spanning over 40 years, Chiang remains one of Mandopop’s most iconic voices. Since his 1984 debut, he has delivered enduring classics that have repeatedly found new life through television performances, social media and major cultural stages. In recent years, he has headlined numerous sold out concerts across Asia and remains a sought-after presence on major variety and gala programmes, beloved for a vocal style that carries warmth and emotional depth. From the stirring echoes of Zai Hui Shou ( Looking Back ) to the restless longing in Yi Dong De Xin ( Restless Heart ) and the tender vulnerability of Ai Wo Ni Pa Le Ma ( Are You Afraid to Love Me? ), each melody carries stories that resonate across ages. For long-time fans, his music is a return to youth. For newer listeners, it is a rediscovery of sincerity and emotion that never goes out of style. Bad Cop gets M’sian adaptation A STRO Originals is releasing a Malaysian adaptation of 2017 German crime drama Bad Cop , which was later adapted in India o Gripping crime action series with local elements The cast, directors and producers of Bad Cop , a Malaysian adaptation of a German crime drama. with each episode centred on a different investigation. The series addresses issues such as identity fraud, marginalisation of rural communities, pressures faced by modern men and domestic abuse. The series is produced by Astro Shaw, with Kavivarmen Vigneswaran serving as showrunner and Jason Chong as director. Bad Cop executive producer and Astro Shaw head Raja Jastina Raja Arshad said the series builds on earlier adaptations by Astro Originals.

Their lives intersect after Imar is shot, leading Emir to assume his brother’s identity and continue his work as a police officer. The eight-episode series premiered on Dec 19, with episodes available every Friday at 12am on OnDemand and Sooka. It will also air on Astro Citra (Channel 108) every Friday at 9pm and on Astro Ria (Channel 104) every Saturday at 10.30pm.

Music for Palestine concert returns AS international attention increasingly focuses on the humanitarian situation in Palestine, independent Malaysian music organiser Music for Charity is raising global awareness and expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people with the Music for Palestine concert next year on Jan 31 at BSync KL. Malaysia, the NGO partner for this edition. “This edition features a line-up that is stronger and more diverse. I am deeply grateful to all the bands who are willing to contribute their energy to offer even a small form of help to the people of Palestine,” said Music for Charity founder Shahamzeer Hamid. He further thanked Cinta Gaza Malaysia for the collaboration.
Now in its third instalment, the series will return with a strong, diverse line-up of 11 renowned bands from the Malaysian underground metal and rock scene such as Dead Mushroom, Black Fire, Langsuir, Herriot, Blind Tribe, Al Farabi, Gasmoney, As Our Throne, The Offside, 302 and Color Heart. All ticket proceeds from Music for Palestine III will be channelled to Cinta Gaza
According to Music for Palestine director Muhamad Fathi Ismail, the event is a way for the musicians and music community in Malaysia to contribute towards the Palestinian cause. “There is no profit involved, only firm solidarity,” he said. Music for Palestine III’s tickets are priced from RM75 to RM85.
