SOCIAL EXCHANGE LAUNCH ... The Securities Commission Malaysia (SC) on Monday marked a key milestone in advancing Malaysia’s social impact ecosystem with the official launch of the Social Exchange. The event featured the unveiling of the Social Exchange logo and the introduction of Impakrintas, Malaysia’s first Social Exchange platform. Operational since Feb 19, Impakrintas provides a regulated and transparent avenue for non-profit organisations to raise donations for social impact projects. The launch also saw three corporate donors committing a total of RM60,000. TWO HUNDRED, AND COUNTING ... Malaysia Airlines on May 24 marked the arrival of its Boeing 737-8 aircraft, the fourth of the type delivered to the airline this year, and a milestone that also represents the 200th Boeing aircraft delivered to Malaysia Airlines in its history. To date, MAG has taken delivery of 18 Boeing 737-8 aircraft from its total order of 55 Boeing narrowbody aircraft, comprising 43 Boeing 737-8s and 12 Boeing 737-10s, with deliveries scheduled through to 2030.
PROMOTING AI LITERACY ... Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd (TalentCorp) continues to strengthen artificial intelligence (AI) literacy among Malaysians through Jelajah AI MyMahir TalentCorp (JAM TalentCorp). It held an edition of the programme at Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) Kampus Gambang in Paya Besar, Pahang, on May 23. The programme, implemented in collaboration with strategic partners including EY Malaysia and UMPSA, brought together 450 participants from diverse backgrounds, including university and school students, teachers, entrepreneurs, homemakers, women, Felda youth, job seekers, local communities and members of the public. LEARNING ABOUT AI ... Amazon Web Services (AWS) and edtech partner Elitery Malaysia have expanded the CendekiAwan Malaysia programme with Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU). Since its launch in 2025, CendekiAwan Malaysia has upskilled more than 15,500 students nationwide through hands-on generative AI learning experiences. The latest 2026 chapter with APU saw 2,500 students complete a three-month generative AI development programme. Bateriku, Malaysia’s leading automotive ecosystem provider, and Wahdah, a leading mobility and travel tech ecosystem company specialising in car rental and sharing solutions, have announced a strategic partnership designed to minimise the disruption caused by unexpected vehicle breakdowns. Under the theme ‘Car Breakdown?
