LYFE MONDAY | MAY 25, 2026 25 Vacations returns with new single, KL tour in July

Burns, Vacations also features bassist Jake Johnson, guitarist Nate Delizzotti and drummer Joseph Van Lier. The new record was written by the band and produced by Burns. The album was mixed by Beatriz Artola, who has worked with Geese and Caamp . Burns said Holy Grail came from a difficult band call during a period when Vacations was trying to make new music while dealing with the strain of constant touring. “ Holy Grail was based on a stressful Zoom call we had together as a band last year. We were in this period of wanting to write and record new material, but then also being stuck in a loop of unsustainable touring. “So many people I know have devoted their

entire lives to music, and yet, at times it can feel as if you’re in pursuit of anything just to make it work for you,” he added. Its Asian tour will also include stops in the Philippines (July 3), Singapore (July 6) and Indonesia (July 9). The band formed in 2016 and has since gained international attention through songs such as Young and Telephones . Young is certified gold in Canada, Australia and Poland, while Telephones is certified platinum in the US. Vacations has accumulated more than 1.5 billion streams worldwide and has built a following through live shows and online discovery.

ALT-POP duo Wasia Project has returned with new single Bleeding Gold , a reflective track that explores the fleeting nature of youth while setting the tone for its upcoming debut album Nocturne , due for release on Sept 18. Bleeding Gold captures the emotional push and pull of growing up, blending nostalgia with the uncertainty of moving forward. Built from fragments of an earlier idea, the track evolves into a layered, dreamlike composition that pairs Olivia Hardy’s airy vocals with shimmering guitar lines and expansive hooks. Set against a neon-lit sonic backdrop, the song balances an upbeat rhythm with introspective lyricism, reflecting the beauty and disorientation that comes with change. It follows the duo’s earlier single 2515 , which hinted at a darker, more confrontational direction in their sound. Departing from his previous pop-centric style, Shaun has placed a more rock-based band sound at the forefront of the mini album as he draws from his rich experience as a former band member to bridge his musical roots with the present. Out of the five tracks on the EP, its title track stands out as Out of Control lives up to its name with a rich, explosive sound that delivers on Shaun’s expanded musical spectrum. The EP also serves as the grand finale to his pre-release trilogy that built anticipation leading up to the release over the past few months, beginning with Pixels and then followed by Night Walk and Diary . Following his transition to an independent path as a self-producing artiste, Shaun has taken full control of the production process to tell his story more directly than he has ever done. To commemorate the EP’s release, Shaun held a solo concert with a full band live set on May 10. The build up to [Last Page] began with Pixels last year.
