there is a special sound to it,” Stith explained. “This album reflects my upbringing. Soul music, elements of pop and funk music. The songs I was doing before were conventional R&B. R&B encompasses a wide spectrum. I wanted this album to feel more edgy.” Throughout the project, Stith crafts his music with intention. o Tone Stith drops new single Fly

G RAMMY-WINNING American R&B singer, songwriter and producer Tone Stith has just released his new single Fly earlier this month – the second track from his album The Edge . With over 260 million worldwide streams and a rapidly growing Asian fanbase – including 3,500 monthly listeners in Malaysia – Stith is positioning himself as a major force in contemporary R&B across the region. The Jersey-born multi instrumentalist has written for Chris Brown’s 11:11 (Deluxe) , which won Best R&B Album award at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Previously nominated for Best New Artiste at 2021’s Soul Train Music Awards, Stith has collaborated with Chris Brown, Victoria Monet, H.E.R., 2 Chainz, Ty Dolla Sign, Quavo and Bryson Tiller, while his single Girls Like You peaked at number six on Billboard R&B charts. The Edge represents a bold evolution for Stith, who channels the genre-defying spirits of Michael Jackson, Prince and Bruno Mars – artistes who have placed stretchmarks on the limits of genre. Co-produced with KP & Brody Brown, the album captures what Stith calls “the common denominator of the energy and feel of good music.” “To us, this project was a collaborative effort and that’s why

lyrics with contemporary R&B sensibilities that resonate across cultures. The Edge is the threshold for the type of music Stith has reverberating inside of him. Following the album’s title track, Fly continues to push boundaries, refusing to be confined by stunted R&B conventions while maintaining the soulful authenticity that has earned Stith Grammy recognition. Stith is credited with co-writing and co-producing songs such as Make Love and Liquor for Chris Brown’s Royalty album. He toured with H.E.R. in 2018 for I Used To Know Her, establishing himself as a formidable live performer with studio prowess. With a growing Asian streaming presence, Stith is poised to make The Edge his breakthrough moment in the region.
