The partnership between Management and Science lecture on “Coral Sustainability and Restoration Innovation in Coral Reef Engineering”. Participants also attended UNPATTI’s 2nd International Conference for two days on
Health and Medicine 2025, at the Hotel Santika Premiere Ambon, Indonesia. The conference explored collaborative strategies for enhancing health in the archipelago. The main aim was to facilitate the development of innovative and integrative solutions for the communities living in remote and maritime regions of the locality. The conference featured eight guest speakers and more than 50 oral and poster presentations, addressing a wide range of themes including public health, clinical medicine, health technology, and medical education. Hendrik Lewerissa, the Governor of Maluku Province and Dr Anna Kurniati, the Director of Health Workforce Provision at the Ministry of Health, Republic of Indonesia, were among the keynote speakers. Professor Dr. Fadli Mohd Asmani, the Dean of School of Pharmacy at MSU was invited to speak on the topic of herbal medicine and diabetes in Malaysia. In addition, the GLP participants were provided with the opportunity to engage in teaching and learning activities with students from the Faculty of Medicine UNPATTI, as well as to visit the community health centre and a rutong traditional village. MSU’s IMS at its Bangalore campus is Malaysia’s first offshore medical school granted a full 5 year accreditation by the Malaysian Medical Council. The establishment of the MSU Medical Centre (MSUMC) positions MSU as the first private university in Malaysia that has its own private specialist hospital. In the recent Quacquarelli
University’s (MSU) International Medical School (IMS) with the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Pattimura(UNPATTI), Indonesia is one such example of a success ful approach. The fifteenth edition of the Meducation Tour 2025, currently coordinated by the International Medical School Student Association (IMSA) Shah Alam, was held in Ambon, Indonesia, from May 5 to 11. The participants were exposed to a wealth of experiential learning opportunities, which promoted environmental conservation and advanced healthcare practices. As part of The Global Leadership Programme (GLP) initiated by MSU, it serves as an example of an outstanding programme involving the dissemination of knowledge beyond national boundaries. It involves comprehensive exposure to global health and environmental issues. The Meducation Tour 2025 showcased the inaugural international presentation of MyCoral Indonesia 1.0, themed ‘Preserving the Wonder of Maluku Sea: Reviving Corals, Sustaining Health’, which involved participants in practical coral restoration efforts, aiding marine conservation and the safeguarding of coral ecosystems. During the project 10 artificial coral reefs were deployed at Desa Hative Besar, Ambon, Indonesia. Mohd Hairulnizam Ibrahim, the Regional Manager (Indonesia) for Global Affairs at MSU, contributed his knowledge to the international lecture series organised by the Faculty of Medicine at UNPATTI, with his

Participants of the global leadership programme benefitted from the exchange of information and also coral restoration in the area.
