S TACY has graced the enter tainment scene with her unique persona for over a decade after winning Akademi Fantasia in 2008. The Sabah-born singer has carved out a name for herself as one of the most respected local singing talents. Over the past few years, Stacy has taken her career further by teaming up with her husband, singer and songwriter Akim Ah mad, to write and produce songs for other artists such as Marsha Milan, Ara Johari and Amir Masdi. Songs produced by the husband-and-wife duo have become major hits and won multiple awards, like Juara Lagu and helped other artists gain popularity among local music enthusiasts. “I see music from a broad and indepen GHQW SHUVSHFWLYH 7KH GL̆ HUHQFH EHWZHHQ producing my own songs and producing for other artists is very subjective. It still gives me the same satisfaction as creating my own music. But in terms of creative freedom, I prefer producing my own songs because I’m the one who’s singing them,” Stacy explained. This year, Stacy will continue her work as a music producer and composer, but at the same time, she has a solo concert this June, which will take place for the ¿UVW WLPH LQ KHU KRPH VWDWH 6DEDK 7KLV follows her successful solo concert in 2023 at the Petronas Philharmonic Hall. The homecoming concert to be held at Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC), Kota Kinabalu, is her way of showing ap preciation to her Sabahan fans, who have been loyal and supportive since day one. “I have been in the industry for quite a long time since I started at a very young age, joining a few singing competitions be IRUH ¿QDOO\ ODQGLQJ RQ Akademi Fantasia and winning the grand prize. I am grateful that I am still here, actively contributing to the industry, now even more so as a song writer and music producer. That is one of the reasons why I joined The Hardest Singing Show last year,” said Stacy.
