BANK-BOURSE PARTNERSHIP ... UOB Malaysia is collaborating with Bursa Malaysia Bhd to support SMEs in adopting sustainable practices and advancing their decarbonisation journey. Under the collaboration, SMEs participating in the bank’s Sustainability Accelerator Programme 2.0 (SAP 2.0) - the newly expanded version of SAP 1.0 launched in October 2023 - will have access to the bourse’s centralised sustainability intelligence solution. PROPERTY INSIGHTS ... PropertyGuru Group, Southeast Asia’s leading proptech company released its Sustainability Report 2024 on May 14. A PropertyGuru survey reveals that 83% of Malaysians are willing to pay a premium for a home with sustainable features, with 77% factoring climate risks into property decisions. CONSTRUCTIVE EVENT ... Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg officiates at the launch of the inaugural International Construction Week Borneo 2025 in Kuching on May 13. MCE Holdings Bhd, via subsidiary Multi-Code Electronics Industries Bhd, has entered into MoUs with Cheling Smart Mobility Technology (Wuhu) Co Ltd and Wuhu Atech Automotive Electronics Co Ltd to strengthen local production capabilities, facilitate technology transfer and support talent development to meet Chery Malaysia’s localisation goals.
