Liangkee to expand cage-free egg production the driving force behind the company’s LKFresh brand.

ITMAX bags deal from Pengerang Municipal Council KUALA LUMPUR: ITMAX System Bhd subsidiary Southmax Sdn Bhd has secured a contract worth RM30.2 million from Pengerang Municipal Council (MPP). Under the contract, ITMAX is responsible for design, installation, and maintenance of a smart integrated operations centre and closed-circuit camera system with artificial intelligence (AI) features within the Pengerang area. The contract spans a period of 180 months on a monthly subscription basis. ITMAX System managing director/CEO William Tan Wei Lun said, “We are pleased to have secured this contract from MPP, marking our fifth AI video surveillance contract in Johor. This achievement reflects the trust placed in ITMAX’s smart city solutions and further expands our presence in the state. Our AI-driven video surveillance system will support the city council in improving operational efficiency in a more cost-effective approach. Beyond providing long-term revenue visibility for the group, this contract aligns with our commitment to advancing smart city initiatives and fostering safer, more connected communities. KUALA LUMPUR: Liangkee, one of Malaysia’s largest cage-free egg producers, won praise yesterday from international NGO Lever Foundation for shifting a significantly larger proportion of its hens to cage-free systems. The project, which will scale operations from 20,000 to 100,000 cage-free hens and result in nearly 20% of the company’s overall egg production coming from cage-free hens, underscores Liangkee’s commitment to higher animal welfare standards and quality food production.
