A pioneer in electronic music, the 53-year-old has shaped the global trance scene for decades. Now, he will bring his unmistakable sound to Lane 23. Powered by its cutting-edge L-Acoustics system, Van Dyk’s set promises to take fans through the essence of trance. The night will feature selections from his latest album, including Back 2 the FVTR and Stay , alongside reworked classics such as For An Angel , a track that continues to shape dance floors worldwide. Born in East Berlin, Van Dyk has received numerous accolades, including a Grammy nomination for his album Reflections . DJ Magazine named him the world’s number one DJ in 2005 and 2006. “We chose Van Dyk not only for his legendary status but also for the timeless tracks that have defined trance for over four decades,” said Lane 23 co-founder Victor Wang. Tickets for Van Dyk at Lane 23 are now available, with early bird pricing at RM90 from March 13 to April 2. General admission will be priced at RM120 from April 3 to 24.

In a desperate attempt to rid herself of her supernatural polong , she transfers it to the wrong person, unleashing a terrifying curse upon her heirs. Zulkarnain, known for Takluk, Air Force and J Revolusi , was drawn to Polong for its symbolic depth. “It is not just a horror film, it is a reflection of the darkness we carry, whether through past sins or unresolved trauma,” he said.

The film will feature a stellar cast, including Mimi Lana, Fad Anuar, Namron, June Lojong and Nadiya Nisaa, bringing the chilling story to life. Golden Star Pictures Sdn Bhd is producing Polong as its debut project, recognising the strong market demand for horror films. Executive producer Onn Norshal Hamzah stated the film was chosen for its high commercial potential and ability to compete in both local and international markets. “With strong storytelling and production quality, we believe Polong will leave a lasting impact,” he said. Scheduled to begin filming in May, Polong is produced by Apuu Films Sdn Bhd, with 10 Star Cinemas Sdn Bhd handling distribution. With a compelling narrative and an experienced team behind it, Polong is set to become one of Malaysia’s most anticipated horror films.
