. Known for its infectious energy, chart-topping hits, the nine-member girl group – consisting of Nayeon, Jeongyen, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu – will be performing at the National Hockey Stadium on Oct 25. The group kicked off its tour on July 19 and 20 at Inspire Arena in Incheon, South Korea, followed by performances in cities, including Osaka (July 26–27), Aichi (Aug 23–24), Fukuoka (Aug 30–31), Tokyo (Sept 16–17), Macau (Sept 27–28), Bulacan (Oct 4), Singapore (Oct 11–12), Kuala Lumpur (Oct 25), Sydney (Nov 1–2), Melbourne (Nov 8–9), Kaohsiung (Nov 22), Hong Kong (Dec 6) and Bangkok (Dec 13– 14) with additional shows to be announced soon. For this sixth world tour, Twice will perform on 360-degree stages at every stop, removing the traditional barrier between the artiste and audience. By transforming the entire venue into a fully immersive space, fans will experience Twice’s performances from all angle, visually and sonically, setting a new standard ABOUT 250 crew members and veteran artistes are set to benefit from the pilot Veteran Star Supertelefilm Fund (STAR), which provides up to RM1 million under the Creative Content Fund (DKK). National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) chairman Datuk Hans Isaac said the initiative, which will produce five supertelefilms, aims to create more job opportunities for those aged 55 and above in the industry. He said the main criteria of the STAR Fund require at least 60% of the workforce in each production to consist of veteran artistes and crew, while the remaining 40% can be filled by younger talent. “These veterans include crew and actors, even make-up artists, cameramen. It doesn’t matter – as long as they have worked in the industry, in drama or film. The remaining 40% can be below 55 because we want to mix it up. “The main storyline must focus on seniors. This is something lacking in our industry, and we want to open up more opportunities for diverse storytelling. Too often, audiences see the same type of stories across all TV stations,” he said at a press conference recently. Hans said the initiative was introduced after listening to grievances from veteran artistes who often face unfair pay, while production budgets tend to favour popular artistes instead. However, he said veterans can only take part in a maximum of two projects to ensure more people benefit from the pilot scheme. Finas will also monitor the quality
