LIV players shut out PLAYERS who sign up for LIV Golf next season will not be allowed to become members of the European Tour, DP World Tour Chief Executive Officer Guy Kinnings told the BBC yesterday. Kinnings said that players must now make a choice. “We have rules and regulations which are there to protect our tour and which our members must all abide by. Players who are not willing to comply with our rules and regulations should not be seeking to join our tour,” he added. LIV Golf was not immediately avail able for comment. Some top players were given condi tional releases by the European Tour in the past which allowed them to com pete in both. Membership of the European Tour is a requirement to play for Europe in the Ryder Cup.
