LET’S TEAM UP ... DPS Resources Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiaries DPS Energy Sdn Bhd and Shantawood Sdn Bhd recently entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CEIG (M) Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of China Energy International Group Co Ltd (CEEC), a China state-owned and Fortune 500 company, to explore opportunities relating to the development, design, construction, promotion and marketing of data centres and related energy infrastructure across DPS’s proposed project sites in Malacca, namely the Lendu Project Site and the Bukit Rambai Project Site. VISITING FELLOWSHIP ... The Tan Sri Dr Lim Wee Chai Visiting Fellowship at the Oxford Centre for Islamic Studies in Oxford, United Kingdom, was officially launched in Shah Alam on Tuesday. Made possible through an endowment valued at £1.8 million by Lim, who is the founder and executive chairman of Top Glove Corporation Bhd, the fellowship supports independent research in subjects across the various divisions of the University of Oxford in the humanities, social sciences and sciences, and will be awarded annually to an international researcher for a tenure of up to one academic year at University of Oxford. ESG CONFERENCE ... CROSS-BORDER COLLABORATION ... Affin Group and Baiduri Bank, Brunei’s largest conventional bank and a member of Baiduri Bank Group, one of the country’s largest providers of financial products and services, recently signed a memorandum of understanding to expand banking cooperation between Malaysia and Brunei and broaden business opportunities for customers in both markets. ACE MARKET-BOUND ... Coffee and tea extract powder blends manufacturer Butterfield FB Bhd on Tuesday launched the prospectus in conjunction with its initial public offering (IPO) on the ACE Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities. Butterfield is headquartered in Bukit Minyak, Penang. A total of RM72 million is expected to be raised atan IPO price of 48 sen per share.
