Fun, meaningful activities to celebrate mum & dad o From exciting day trips to heartwarming kitchen moments, make Parents’ Day extra special

P ARENTS’ Day is the perfect excuse to spoil mum and dad with love, laughter and a whole lot of quality time. While gifts are always nice, the real magic often lies in the memories you create together. Whether your parents are adventure seekers, homebodies or somewhere in between, there are plenty of fun and meaningful ways to make the day extra special. If you are stuck wondering what to do with the old folks this Parents’ Day (in the most affectionate way possible), here are five cheerful ideas to get you started. 1. Go on a mini family adventure Turn Parents’ Day into a little escape from the everyday routine. Plan a day trip to a nearby beach, hilltop, scenic park or even a quaint town you have never properly explored together. A simple picnic, light sightseeing or nature walk is all it takes to spark good vibes and great conversations. If your parents prefer something slower-paced, a cosy picnic at the park works just as well. Pack their favourite snacks, bring along a homemade dish or two and just enjoy being outdoors together. It is simple, heartfelt and the perfect setup for laughter, storytelling and a bit of nostalgia. 2. Take a walk down memory lane Few things bring out smiles (and a few laughs) such as old memories. Spend time flipping through dusty photo albums, recreating childhood pictures or revisiting places that hold special meaning such as your old neighbourhood or that one family restaurant everyone still talks about. It is a fun, sometimes Ű BY SHIVANI SUPRAMANI s hilarious way to see how far the family has come. And yes, those old albums might just surprise you with stories you have never heard before. 3. Give them a well-deserved pamper day Parents rarely take time off for themselves, so this is your chance to change that. Book them a spa session, treat them to a family massage or simply create a calming at-home wellness setup. Think soft music, warm drinks, scented candles and a whole lot of r r k m l

4. Try something creative together Shake things up with a fun hands-on activity. Sign up for a pottery class, try a painting workshop, get your hands dirty in a gardening session or attempt a DIY craft project together. It does not have to be perfect, in fact, the slightly messy results are usually the most memorable. Plus, you will all leave with something you made together, which makes it even more special. Who knows, you might just stumble upon a new family hobby. 5. Cook or bake up a storm together If there is one thing that always brings people together, it is food.
