SUPPORT FOR TOURISTS ... Bateriku (M) Sdn Bhd and Tourism Selangor Promosi Sdn Bhd signed a memorandum of collaboration in Shah Alam on Thursday to formalise a strategic partnership aimed at enhancing tourism safety, roadside assistance and visitor experience across Selangor. Bateriku will support tourists through its on-demand roadside assistance services and referral ecosystem, providing greater peace of mind for travellers exploring Selangor by road. LNG CARRIERS NAMED ... MISC Group announced the naming of its two new-generation liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers, Seri Dian and Seri Dayang , on May 7. The addition of these vessels strengthens its long-standing partnership with SeaRiver Maritime LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ExxonMobil. Constructed by Hanwha Ocean Co Ltd., the 174,000 CBM LNG carriers are equipped with smart and energy-efficient technologies and an enhanced cargo containment system with reduced boil-off rates to improve efficiency and support safer operations. At the naming ceremony are representatives from MISC, ExxonMobil, SeaRiver Maritime, Hanwha Ocean and Lloyd’s Register, together with the Lady Sponsor Hanh Nguyen.
CIMB ALUMNI ... CIMB Group on Wednesday announced the launch of CIMB Alumni, a platform designed to reconnect and mobilise one of the region’s most influential leadership networks to drive meaningful societal impact. UNDERSTANDING BIOSIMILARS ... Sandoz Malaysia has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Sunway Medical Centre to enhance patient education, expand understanding and adoption of biosimilars, and support clinical excellence in lymphoma care across Malaysia. The MoU, effective until Dec 31 2026, outlines a collaboration to build understanding and confidence in biosimilars among healthcare professionals, patients and the public, beginning with initiatives focused on lymphoma care. The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre Business Events Alliance, WWF-Malaysia, Taylor’s University, UCSI University have launched the nation’s first Best Practices on Waste Management and Responsible Sourcing Guidebook. The practical and research-backed resource is designed to serve both industry practitioners and the next generation of hospitality talent - equipping them with the knowledge and tools to embed sustainability into their daily operations and decision-making. Herbalife, a premier health and wellness company, community and platform, recently hosted an Entrepreneurship Talk at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM), bringing together students from diverse programmes, alongside academicians as part of its long standing and impactful partnership with the university.
