And unfortunately, going on vacations normally entails leaving your beloved pets behind as well. Thankfully though, there now are options for pet lovers who cannot stand the thought of being away from their furry friends. This campsite is fit for guests of all sorts – families, couples, solo travellers and of course, pet owners. Kids can take a dip in the hillwater swimming pool, while their furry friends can roam the vast compound. Additionally, the campsite is just five minutes away from Bentong town, so essentials and food are never that far away. Staff service is also reportedly excellent, with caretakers distributing umbrellas to campers for free on rainy days. Tent sites are available from RM80 to RM230. Campers can also opt to lodge in the Bamboo House, which costs between RM500 and RM600 to rent. Glamping packages are also available for two pax and four pax.

Infants aged three and below are not charged. The price is inclusive of transportation to and from the campsite car park, as well as organic vegetables provided by the caretakers. More than worth it, all things considered!

Little Habitat Campsite A well-known spot among local animal lovers, Little Habitat is a pet-friendly campsite, perfectly designed to provide a peaceful, natural experience for guests, human and animals alike. To that end, the campsite’s facilities are designed to meet the needs of both. Dogs and cats are especially welcome here, with plenty of space for animals to run free and socialise. There is even a spring water pool for dogs (and the rare cat) to go swimming. Little Habitat also hosts an annual Pets Day Out, where people can bring their pets to participate in activities such as an Amazing Race, photography sessions, pet health workshops and mini bazaars. Tents are available for rent from RM200 to RM850. Campers can also bring their own tent for a fee of RM80. A day trip to the camp will set visitors back by RM50.

Gibbon Retreat Opened since 2012, Gibbon Retreat was founded by H.P. Lem, who left Silicon Valley behind to protect the threatened Dipterocarp tree species that grows in this part of Malaysia. This eco-friendly glamping spot consists of several villa huts and chalets, most of which are pet-friendly. Up to four pets are allowed per chalet, so campers with many pets can actually bring the whole furry family with
them. The chalets and villa huts are large and spacious, with the natural jungle right outside the window. So, this is as close to nature your urban-dwelling pet can possibly get! Accommodation is available here from RM280 to RM680. Pets will be charged RM40 for chalets and RM50 for villa huts. Pet owners must make a security deposit of RM200 per room and the deposit will be returned after an inspection by the caretaker.
