MSU climbs 150 spots in THE Asia Rankings
M ANAGEMENT and Science University (MSU) continues to strengthen its position in the higher education landscape in Malaysia and across Asia by being listed among the top 300 universities in Asia, ranking in the 251–300 band in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2026. This achievement reflects MSU’s continued commitment to enhancing academic excellence and international reputation, with a significant rise of 150 places from the 401–500 band last year. It also places MSU as the 12th best university in Malaysia. This success demonstrates the collective dedication of the MSU community in strengthening a culture of academic excellence, research, industry engagement, international collaboration and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) initiatives. In the recent THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026, MSU marked a significant milestone with its debut entry, as two of its academic disciplines—Education Studies, and Medical and Health— were ranked in the 501–600 band globally, underscoring the university’s growing academic strength and international standing. In recognition of its sustainable development initiatives, MSU was also ranked in the 101–200 band globally in the THE Impact Rankings 2025. MSU achieved an overall score of 85.7% across 17 United Nations (UN) SDGs, recording its highest improvements in SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals with a score of 93% (ranked 81st globally), and SDG 1: No Poverty with a score of 85.2% (ranked 21st globally).
