NCT’s Taeyong confesses ‘Aku rindu kamu’ at KL show o K-pop star makes glorious return to stage after military service

N CT leader Taeyong (Lee Taeyong) made a powerful return to the stage following his military discharge, delivering an unforgettable performance at 2026 Taeyong Concert (TY Track – Remastered) in Kuala Lumpur last Saturday at Idea Live Arena. As the final stop of the tour, the Kuala Lumpur concert marked not only a peak moment in his post-military career, but also his first solo show in Malaysia since 2017. Facing fans he had not seen for nearly a decade, Taeyong became visibly emotional on stage. He frequently interacted with the crowd, and even expressed his feelings in fluent Malay, shouting: “Aku rindu kamu!” (I miss you!). Missing Malaysia “It’s been such a long time since I came to Malaysia. Your passion hasn’t changed at all. I really missed you and I promise I will come back more often to meet everyone,” he shared. Taeyong also revealed his personal wish to explore Malaysia more. “Every time I come here, the schedule is very tight. I’ve always wanted to visit Batu Caves, but I never had the chance. Hopefully next time, I’ll definitely go,” he said. Despite missing out on sightseeing, he delighted fans by sharing that he had tried local cuisine during this visit. “I had satay and it was really delicious,” he added, drawing laughter from the audience. Night to never forget As his first solo Asia tour since completing his service, Taeyong showcased a more refined musical depth and commanding stage presence, captivating thousands of fans in attendance, and creating an intense and emotional night. Opening the concert with high-energy tracks Locked and Loaded and Skiii , followed by Ape , Taeyong immediately ignited the atmosphere with his explosive performance. He later showcased his versatility with emotional tracks, such as Ruby and the addictive hit Tap . At one electrifying moment, he removed his jacket mid-performance, revealing his well-defined arm muscles, sending fans into deafening screams and pushing the concert to its first major climax. ‘Saya sayang kamu’ Taeyong also treated fans to a special performance of his new song Am I In Love Or Not , creating a sweet and intimate atmosphere. He further surprised the audience by announcing his upcoming new album is currently in preparation, marking a major highlight of the night. During the encore, he returned to the stage with the upbeat Love Theory , interacting playfully with fans and even tossing small gifts into the crowd, adding to the excitement. As the concert drew to a close, Taeyong once again showcased his Malay skills, asking the audience, “Korang enjoy tak?” (Did you enjoy it?), receiving thunderous cheers in response. He ended the night with a heartfelt “Saya sayang kamu” (I love you), bringing a perfect close to a long-awaited reunion that spanned nine years.
