Capcom Pop-up Event Date: April 14–19 Time: 11am–10pm (April 14), 10am–10pm (April 15–16), 10am–10.30pm (April 17–18) Venue: Centre Court GF, Aeon Mall Tebrau City, Johor Bahru Entry fee: Free Following the success of Capcom’s pop-up store in Kuala Lumpur last year, Taiwanese publisher and distributor Justdan is bringing another exciting gaming experience to Malaysia. The upcoming six-day event is expected to feature a variety of popular franchises, including Monster Hunter , Resident Evil , Street Fighter , Mega Man and Devil May Cry . Available merchandise include figurines, plush toys, mystery box collections and acrylic stands. The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) brings a concert themed around Verdi, who dominated Italian opera and whose works are among the most frequently performed in the world today. The MPO will be led by its music director Junichi Hirokami, performing works taken from five of Verdi’s operas – Nabucco , Rigoletto , works from La forza del destino (The Force of Destiny) , Un ballo in maschera (A Masked Ball) and works from La traviata . Primitive Modern: A Sculptural Exhibition Date: April 11–20 Time: 7pm–10pm (April 11), 10am–7pm (April 12–20) Venue: Nadine Fine Art, Petaling Jaya Entry fee: Free Curated by Hannah Bhatt, in collaboration with the founder of Nadine Fine Art, this exhibition marks the launch of Bhatt’s curatorial platform Undercurrent. The exhibition brings together 10 artists across Kuala Lumpur – including Bee Shayne, Chau Xhien, Joanne Loo and Kimberley Boudville – working with material such as clay, metal, resin, textile and mixed media. The exhibition will trace a journey from raw material to contemporary form. The exhibition night on April 11 will include food, music and a free flow of drinks.
A Cosmic Symphony Date: April 18 Time: 8pm Venue: Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP) Entry fee: RM249–RM499 The Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) will collaborate with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra for a concert that will feature renowned German organist Michael Schonheit, who will perform on the DFP’s Klais Pipe Organ. The first half of the concert will witness the MPO’s collaboration with Schonheit to present Dupre’s Cortege et Litanie , the premiere of Liszt’s Variations on Bach’s “ Weinen, Klagen, Sorgen, Zagen ” and Rheinberger’s Organ Concerto No.1 in F . The concert will be closed by Jorg-Peter Weigle, conducting Symphony No.4 composed by Bruckner.
Rentak Music Celebration Date: April 24 Time: 6.30pm Venue: The MET Corporate Towers Entry fee: RM250 Kuala Lumpur’s music lovers are set for a night of nostalgia and celebration with this showcase that revives the music of the 80s and 90s, while supporting Malaysia’s local talents. The celebration will feature live performances by local artistes Ning Baizura, Elvira Arul and Yazmin Aziz, together with event emcee Douglas Lim, taking the audience on a journey through the different eras of music.
MFT Food Carnival 2026 Date: April 24–26 Time: 11am–11.30pm (April 24–25), 11am–8pm (April 26) Venue: Taman Bandar, Kwasa Damansara Entry fee: Free Returning in 2026, the carnival brings together food, music, movies and creative experiences in one vibrant outdoor celebration for three nights. In this event, explore over 40 food vendors and dress up to experience a cake picnic with different varieties to try under the stars. An outdoor screening of the first four Harry Potter movies will be shown in a movie marathon, free to all, and a Disney music session will test your knowledge of hits from the 2000s. Additionally, a limited hot air balloon ride will be available.
