Capturing moments of dusk

Ű BY GREGORY SHANE

o Places to catch sunsets in Klang Valley E VERY beginning must come to an end and what better symbolisation can there be than the setting of the sun. A moment that signifies the end of the day, its scenic view that promises an end to a beautiful day, and a new one will start soon after. The dawn of dusk envelopes us with the comfort of knowing our day has culminated and we can look forward to another tomorrow. This is the moment where seconds can make a beautiful memory – alone or with others – indulging in that promise With this, we introduce four beautiful spots within the premises of Selangor, Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur to catch that small, fleeting glimpse at the setting sun in all its glory.

THREE NEW AIRLINES BRIDGE TWO CONTINENTS KL International Airport (KLIA) has recently welcomed two new airlines, AeroDili (8G) and Air Algerie, that will further expand Malaysia’s connectivity across Asia and Africa. Meanwhile, Penang International Airport (PIA) marks the entry of Qingdao Airlines from China. These additions support Malaysia Airports’ long-term ambition of positioning Malaysia as the most connected country in Asia Pacific, while unlocking new growth markets. AeroDili operates twice-weekly direct flights between Kuala Lumpur and Timor-Leste. Air Algerie’s entry into KLIA is creating the first direct link to Algeria. Operating thrice-weekly, the route opens a new North African corridor with no direct competition, complementing existing African connectivity via Ethiopian Airlines and Air Mauritius. At PIA, Qingdao Airlines’ new service flies from Qingdao thrice weekly. It is the ninth Chinese carrier operating in PIA that expands access to secondary Chinese cities. ARTS, CULTURE ELEVATE TOURISM Petronas Philharmonic Hall and the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) has embarked on a partnership with Tourism Malaysia to elevate the landscape of arts and culture of Kuala Lumpur and expand Malaysia’s visibility as a tourism destination for Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026). The cultural attractions complement the VM2026 campaign. As strategic partners, the both brands visibility will expand across the globe through integration across the digital and physical platforms of Tourism Malaysia overseas information centres. This partnership will also witness the curation of packages for local Malaysians and tourists, including ticket discounts and hall tours.
