Indie Jam Date: April 4–5 Time: 10am–6pm Venue:
Pokemon Truck Date: Until June 4, 2026 Time: 10am–10pm Venue: Sungei Wang Plaza, Lalaport BBCC, The Starhill, IOI City Mall Entry fee: Free Pokemon fans in Malaysia can look forward to the arrival of the Pokemon Truck, brought in with the collaboration of Nintendo Switch 2. The truck will bringing a unique gaming adventure to high-traffic malls nationwide and inviting fans straight into the action of snapping photos at the Pokopia photo zone and catch special Pikachu appearances. Roving in Klang Valley every Monday to Wednesday, the truck will stop in four locations from Friday to Sunday, in the month of April – Sungei Wang Plaza (April 3–5), Lalaport BBCC (April 10–12), The Starhill (April 17–19) and IOI City Mall (April 24–26).

The Magic Rain partners with Management and Science University for its annual independent games showcase and mini conference, in partnership with MSU Engage Talent Sync Expo 2026. This event is part of an ongoing initiative to celebrate and elevate the Asean independent game development scene by presenting one of the largest indie game showcases in the country – featuring 60 games and demos from studios across Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Brunei, together with regional partners such as Goldpact Goblins, Ysbryd Games and Soft Source Publishing. Indie Jam will also be partnering with Games For Change Hong Kong to present the first ever Games for Change Student Game Jam Kuala Lumpur, open to university students and fresh graduates with winning teams awarded with scholarships from Yayasan MSU, Digital Blacksmith Workshop tickets, and an invitation to showcase their game at Games for Change Hong Kong 2026 Festival.
“Malaysia on the Move: Mana-mana pun O!” Carnival

The Bridge Date: April 3–5 Time: 8pm (April 3), 5pm (April 4–5) Venue: Calvary Convention Centre, Bukit Jalil Entry fee: Free Calvary Church presents a large scale original Easter musical – told through the voices and perspectives of children and teenagers navigating questions of identity, belonging and hope. The musical brings the struggles of young people – facing increasing pressure around self-worth and purpose – to life through a blend of drama, music and dance. The production features a dedicated cast and crew drawn from the church community, showcasing emerging young talent alongside experienced mentors. Within the musical, audiences will be brought on an emotional, thought-provoking experience that reflects real-life challenges while pointing towards hope, healing and meaning.
A six-day experiential carnival celebrating Malaysian culture, sports and lifestyle. It is jointly organised by theCover Asia and Sunway Velocity Mall, with Sunway Multicare Pharmacy as co-organiser, MY FM and Melody are the official radio partners. Running daily at the mall’s Nanjing Entrance on Level 1, the carnival aims to combine sports influence with tourism, culture and local lifestyle brands. The event will be led by Malaysian badminton world champions Aaron Chia and Chen Tang Jie, and will be joined by several national athletes in an initiative aimed at promoting Malaysian sportsmanship culture, tourism and locally made brands in conjunction with the Visit Malaysia 2026 campaign.
Equatorial Art, Nanyang Breeze: An Elite Malaysian Painting Exchange Exhibition 2026 Date: June 6–7 Time: TBA Venue: Lin Xiang Xiong Art Gallery’s Level 7, Special Exhibition Hall Entry fee: TBA Initiated by the Lin Xiang Xiong Art Gallery and co-organised by the Penang State Museum Board and Global Chinese Arts & Culture Society, the exhibition reflect’s the gallery’s long-term vision of building an internationally oriented art platform in Malaysia. With this nationwide open call, it brings together outstanding artists from different states, ethnic communities and cultural backgrounds across Malaysia. In the exhibition, 60 to 80 paintings will be exhibited – with submissions currently open for evaluation – presenting the richness, diversity and distinctive character of contemporary Malaysian painting through the exchange of varied artistic languages.
Skechers Friendship Walk & Run 2026 Date: June 21 Venue: Putrajaya Entry fee: RM40 to RM95 (early bird registration until April 5), RM40 to RM105 (normal price) Organised by Skechers, this year’s event introduces its inaugural 21km category, the longest distance ever featured at the Friendship Walk & Run. The new endurance challenge complements the much-loved 5km leisure walk and 10km competitive run, offering participants more ways than ever to be part of the movement. Registered participants will receive an exclusive race pack, worth up to RM359.
SunMed Healthy Living Carnival 2026 Date: April 26 Time: 10am–4pm Venue: Tower D Lobby, Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway City Entry fee: Free Sunway Medical Centre, Sunway City (SMC) will be organising a community health event to promote healthy living, preventive healthcare and community well-being, encouraging individuals and families to take practical steps towards improving their overall health and well-being, in a fun and engaging environment. In line with World Health Day, the carnival aims to provide Malaysians the urgent need for preventive health practices, health education opportunity and promote the adoption of healthier lifestyle habits. Visitors will have access to a range of health screenings and assessments conducted by SMC’s Centres of Excellence, including Body Composition Analysis, Blood Glucose & Cholesterol Test, Postural Blood Pressure Test, Sit-to-Stand Endurance Test and many more.
Disney’s The Lion King Live in Concert Date: June 13 Time: 2.30pm, 8.00pm Venue: Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) Plenary Hall Entry fee: RM168–RM638 Featuring Hans Zimmer’s Academy Award-winning score and as part of Visit Malaysia 2026, this concert will be performed live alongside The Lion King (1994) full film on the big screen. Brought to life by the National Symphony Orchestra Malaysia under the baton of its resident conductor Eric Lee, this event will bring together three generations – from children to grandparents – of fans of Disney’s The Lion King in Malaysia, immersing them in the power of this iconic film through the rich, resonant sound of a full orchestra.
