GOLF pundit and analyst Brandel Chamblee believes it’s time for Tiger Woods to call time on his career after his involvement in a car crash in Florida on Friday. The 50-year-old was detained on Friday following an incident where his Land Rover overturned in a crash with a pick-up truck pulling a trailer he was trying to pass on Jupiter Island. Woods emerged unscathed but was characterised as “lethargic” by offi cers, interviewed at the scene and sub sequently declined to provide a urine sample. He was held in custody for eight hours before being freed on bail. Martin County Sheriff’s Office con firmed Woods had been discharged in the early hours of Saturday morning. Speaking on The Golf Channel after Woods’ arrest, Chamblee said: “Well, why would he need to play golf any more? “You know, I think he should probably ask himself that. Consider not playing golf anymore. “He’s done his work in the game of golf. Nothing he’s going to do on the Champions Tour, with all due respect, to senior golf, we all love it, but it will add nothing really to his legacy. “And you know, it’s clear that since 2021 when he’s come back, he can’t play at a competitive level on the PGA Tour. His body just won’t let him do what his talents have previously let him do. “That seems like the only circum stance that would alleviate this prob lem. “Beyond that, you just hope that he gets the care and the help that he needs.” – Express Newspapers
