M ANAGEMENT and Science University (MSU) achieved a significant milestone with its debut entry in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2026. Two of MSU’s academic disciplines, education studies, medical and health were ranked within the 501–600 band globally, underscoring the university’s growing academic strength and international standing. At the national level, education studies is ranked sixth in Malaysia, while medical and health is placed 11th, reflecting MSU’s competitive position among Malaysian higher education institutions. The THE World University Rankings by Subject evaluate universities across 11 broad subject areas, encompassing 148 individual disciplines. The rankings apply the same rigorous and trusted methodology used in the overall THE World University Rankings, with metric weighting carefully adjusted to reflect subject-specific priorities. This ensures a fair assessment of institutional strengths and delivers meaningful, discipline-focused insights. In the THE World University Rankings 2026, MSU is ranked within the 601–800 band globally and among the top 10 universities in Malaysia. This achievement reflects a steady upward trajectory following its maiden inclusion in the THE World University Rankings 2025, where it was placed in the 801–1,000 band worldwide.
