Tropicana doubles rating to 4 stars PETALING JAYA: Kicking off the new year on a strong note, Tropicana Corporation Berhad celebrated a significant improvement in its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) rating, which has doubled from 2 stars to 4 stars. This achievement is underpinned by Tropicana’s robust sustainability strategy, with an emphasis on corporate governance and the integration of equity, environmental, social, and governance (EESG). In tandem with this milestone, Tropicana has been included in the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia (F4GBM) Index Series, which recognises public listed companies demonstrating strong ESG practices, benchmarked against the FTSE Russell rating system. This inclusion follows the December 2025 semi annual review conducted by FTSE Russell and Bursa Malaysia, acknowledging Tropicana’s substantial progress in advancing its ESG initiatives. Since Tropicana began its green journey in 2016, the group has embraced its three ESG pillars of People, Planet, and Partnership. Amongst Tropicana’s ESG key milestones for FY2024 are six achievements for the Economic domain, four feats for the Environmental domain, as well as five and three success stories for the Social and Governance domains, respectively. Group CEO Dennis Ng said: “Tropicana started its green journey more than 45 years ago, developing many liveable and sustainable townships for the community to grow and prosper. Tropicana’s ESG journey has grown from strength to strength, building 20 townships and 20 green building developments anchored by its 8 unique development DNAs.” He said this high 4-star score, which doubled from last year, reflected their ongoing commitment to connecting communities, forging futures, and redefining the art of living.
PETALING JAYA: The ISP Group of Companies, a property company specialising in Logistics Warehouses and Manufacturing Hubs (LWMH) and Purpose-Built Workers Accommodations (PBWA), has concluded 2025 with a series of structured corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives that underscore its long-term approach to sustainable development and community integration. The initiatives, implemented across Selangor, reflect ISP Group’s broader ESG philosophy of embedding social considerations into its development footprint, rather than treating CSR as one off philanthropic activity. In October 2025, ISP Group implemented a community health initiative at Rumah Hope, Petaling Jaya, benefiting 49 children through vision screenings and early intervention support. The programme addressed preventable vision challenges that can affect learning outcomes and long-term development, aligning with the group’s focus on practical, outcome-driven community support. The group also completed the fourth and final cycle of its Nourish with Hope programme in Sekinchan, carried out in partnership with Sekinchan assemblyman Datuk Ng Suee Lim. The final phase supported 30 vulnerable
He added that employee involvement plays an important role in strengthening the Group’s ESG execution. “Our people are central to how these initiatives are delivered. Their participation reflects the culture we are building within ISP Group and reinforces our commitment to responsible growth.” ISP Group’s CSR initiatives are guided by its corporate philosophy of ‘Creating Legacies’, which emphasises long-term value creation across social, environmental, and economic dimensions. The group believes that sustained community engagement supports social licence to operate, strengthens stakeholder relationships, and complements its development strategy in the industrial property sector. As ISP Group enters 2026, the group intends to continue integrating ESG considerations into its operations and developments, reinforcing its position as a sustainability-focused industrial property developer alongside its ongoing business expansion.
households, bringing the programme’s total reach to 120 families over a two-year period. Designed as a multi-cycle initiative, the programme provided essential groceries to help ease cost-of-living pressures while ensuring continuity of support rather than short-term relief. In December 2025, ISP Group concluded the year with Christmas Joy, a year-end employee volunteer initiative held at AvidAscent Enrichment Care for Special Needs. The programme engaged children and individuals with special needs through inclusive activities, reinforcing the Group’s emphasis on employee participation as part of its ESG and organisational culture. ISP Holding Sdn Bhd Group CEO, Eric Ng said: “As a long-term real estate player, we recognise that sustainable growth depends not only on physical infrastructure, but also on the strength and resilience of the communities around our projects. Our CSR programmes are structured to deliver consistent, measurable impact rather than one-off contributions.”
