Alvarez, whose first professional loss came against Mayweather back in 2013, later assumed the American’s status as the biggest name in box ing outside the heavyweight ranks. At 35, the Mexican superstar has captured world titles in four divisions and is commonly viewed as one of the top pound-for-pound talents of his era. Although his defeat to Crawford gave his leg acy something of a hit, the same can’t be said for his bank account. Alvarez recently agreed to an eye-catching four-fight contract with Saudi box ing figurehead Turki Alalshikh, a deal said to be worth around £240m (RM1.3b).
