access to quality education for all students, regardless of background or locality to make sure the education sector continues to remain a key pillar of the government. Through the agenda of Pendidikan Manusiawi (no child is left behind), the MOE focuses on access, equity, and the holistic development of students (academic and character). Management and Science University (MSU), through Yayasan MSU (YM) and MSU Engage, support the ministry’s efforts by organising the Yayasan MSU Scholarship Launch Ceremony 2025/2026. The value of the scholarships, amounting to RM50 million were allocated to 157 educational institutions comprised of 144 secondary schools and 13 higher education institutions, including polytechnics, MARA colleges, matriculation colleges, sixth-form colleges, vocational colleges, and Islamic educational institutions. The institutions involved are from the states of Selangor, Sarawak, Sabah, Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, Perak, Kuala Lumpur, Kedah, Penang, Johor, Terengganu, and Melaka. The awarding of the Yayasan MSU Scholarships reflects MSU’s continued commitment to strengthening strategic collaborations and partnerships with educational institutions at various levels, particularly in supporting students from the B40 category to pursue their studies at MSU. The financial assistance provided includes full scholarships, partial scholarships, and other forms of financial aid. The organisation of this programme represents MSU’s ongoing commitment to empowering educational partnerships with the MOE, especially with educational institutions at various levels, with the aim of nurturing a generation of knowledgeable, skilled, and inspirational young individuals. At the launch ceremony of the Yayasan
endowment and communication, Dato’ Rosli Yusof, MSU Registrar, Miskiah Tijan together with representatives from the participating educational institutions. In his keynote address, Professor Dr Mohd Shukri emphasised that the scholarship programme aims to create a sustainable and lasting impact by empowering future talents and leaders across various fields, including science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) as well as technical and vocational education and training (TVET). Yayasan MSU offers several categories of scholarship sponsorships specifically for MSU students, such as the President Scholarship, MSU Outstanding Rewards Scholarship (MORE), Scholarship Reward for Excellence (SCORE), Scholarship for Mobility and International Experiences (SMILE), scholarships in collaboration with private-sector partners, as well as Fellowship and SLAB scholarship schemes dedicated to academic staff development programmes in support of pursuing higher levels of education . In the 2025 rankings, MSU was ranked in the top 1,000 worldwide or in band 801– 1,000 out of 2,092 institutions from 115 countries and territories. MSU represents a global multi-ranked institution focused on building holistic human capital.
