MAB Academy launches simulator hub for pilot training

In a post on its official Facebook account, MoT expressed its commitment, through the implementation of various strategic initiatives and projects throughout 2025, focusing on the well-being of the people, and guided by the values of inclusivity and sustainability. “This is to ensure that the benefits of the development of the transport sector can be enjoyed comprehensively by all Malaysians,”the ministry said. The post was also accompanied by a special video, highlighting the outcomes of the ministry’s continuous efforts throughout 2025, made possible through the strong support of all parties in advancing the country’s progressive and resilient transport agenda. Among the achievements featured in the 1 minute 6 seconds video are the MY50 travel pass, which recorded sales of 2.6 million, and helped users save up to 67% on monthly travel costs; the FLYsiswa subsidy, which benefited 44,598 students; and the MyLesen B2 programme, which assisted 23,589 participants from the B40 group. The ongoing efforts reflect MoT’s commitment to supporting a national development agenda which is inclusive, sustainable and people oriented. – Bernama

SEPANG: MAB Academy, the training and development arm of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), yesterday launched its new Simulator Building at South Support Zone, Sepang – marking a major milestone in its long-term strategy to advance industry-leading aviation, hospitality and professional development. The launch ceremony was officiated by Transport Minister Anthony Loke together with Khazanah Nasional Bhd managing director Datuk Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir, MAG Group managing director Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, and MAG president and group CEO-designate Captain Nasaruddin A. Bakar, The Simulator Building features six full-flight simulator bays including the A330neo, Boeing 737 800NG and ATR 72-500, along with dedicated training spaces that foster a focused and effective learning environment. Its layout encourages close instructor–trainee interaction, supports consistent training
delivery, and promotes a structured approach to developing operational discipline. The new Simulator Building marks the completion of MAB Academy’s transformation from the 40-year-old Subang Training Centre, taking a significant step towards its vision of becoming a one-stop aviation learning centre. Loke said, “MAG is investing in advanced training and simulation through MAB Academy to ensure our aviation professionals are fully prepared. This strengthens safety standards, builds operational capability, and positions Malaysia as a reliable and capable aviation hub in the region.” Izham remarked, “The launch of MAB Academy’s new Simulator Building marks an important milestone in our long-term transformation journey and supports our Long-Term Business Plan 3.0, which focuses on disciplined, sustainable growth and operational leadership. As an Approved Training Organisation certified by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia, MAB Academy currently offers close to 200 specialised training programmes serving airlines, corporations, aviation professionals, and international students. With the launch of the new Simulator Building, MAB Academy further cements its role as a regional training powerhouse, supporting industry growth while contributing to Malaysia’s aspiration to become a global aviation hub.
