Tabitha Nauser’s ode to motherhood S INGAPOREAN artiste Tabitha Nauser has returned with In Her Eyes – a raw, emotional and powerful ode o Singer drops track inspired by lullabies sang to her baby daughter

Nauser shared. Noting this release as “the most meaningful drop of my life”, with sweeping vocal lines, gut-punch lyrics and an unshakable hook, In Her Eyes anchors Nauser’s comeback in deep emotional honesty. Lyrics such as “With her, I’ve found my true home” and “I’ll stand by her, through thick and thin” are delivered not with a whisper but with the full force of a voice that ha s lived through joy, transformation and rebirth. In Her Eyes also announced the start of a new era for Nauser, one marked by fearless vulnerability and sonic experimentation. While her past hits such as Bulletproof and Vices rode on smooth R&B and pop textures, this track leans heavily into rock-inspired emotion, a creative risk that feels surprising and inevitable. This news comes shortly after her signing with a new management,

Singaporean label Cross Ratio Entertainment. The announcement came first on social media, with the label sharing that more was in store for Nauser this year. The release follows a series of recent performances that reintroduced Nauser to fans in 2025, including headlining Singapore Art Week, opening for Boyz II Men, and performing unreleased material in intimate shows with Sofar Sounds and Music Matters Live. The singer performed most recently at the annual Vogue Gala and in Macao as part of CreatorWeek’s debut of Creator Festival, the first large-scale celebration of the creator economy. Born to Swiss-Indian parents and raised in Singapore, she broke out with her debut single Bulletproof and has since taken her sound to international stages, from opening for Khalid, to performing at the White House, to appearing in Netflix’s reality series Singapore Social .

to new motherhood. After four years away from the spotlight, the track is written together with her partner Louie and drew inspiration from the lullabies they sang to their baby girl, including their nightly refrain of “You are my sunshine, my only sunshine”. Rather than delivering a gentle, acoustic ballad, the track flips expectations – soaring guitars, percussive punch and arena-ready vocals blend with rich R&B storytelling, capturing the magnitude of love that reshapes their world. “Motherhood changed me, emotionally, spiritually and creatively. This isn’t a ‘soft’ song. It’s loud, it’s bold, because that’s how this love feels. It’s passionately intense. It burns through you and regenerates you into someone new,”

The single is the start of a new era for Nauser, one marked by fearless vulnerability and sonic experimentation.

Be:First brings new energy to Jackson 5’s I Want You Back in best-of album

SEVEN-MEMBER Japanese vocal and dance powerhouse Be:First has returned with a fresh take on musical history, reimagining The Jackson 5’s classic I Want You Back , turning a timeless hit into something unmistakably its own in its first-ever best-of album BE:ST . Produced by Japanese producer and rapper Sky-Hi and Sunny, Be:First’s take keeps the iconic funk bassline, rhythmic piano and strings in mind while pushing the song through a modern process: live band recordings were tracked through the legendary Neve 8068 analog console, then sampled and rebuilt with a hip-hop mindset. The chorus melody is quoted from the original, with new Be:First lyrics and rap sections delivering a 2025-forward feel without losing the heart of the classic. “We all carry deep respect for music history and culture. Using this best-of as a moment to salute The Jackson 5 – the prototype of the modern boy band – we hoped to let the greatness of this song speak to 2025. We also wanted to go further into why we keep making music as a boy band in a high-speed, disposable era. From the instruments to the recording chain, we obsessed over every detail,” said Sky-Hi on the cover. The music video bottles up that

“first time music grabbed you” feeling. It hides easter eggs from Be:First’s past eras ( Shining One , Betrayal Game , Mainstream , Blissful , Sailing , Grit and more) and uses volumetric video to turn members into 3D dancing figures – a playful, future-meets-nostalgia concept befitting a best-of lead. Packed with 32 tracks spanning every hit and milestone, BE:ST is a celebration of the group’s journey – from debut to global stages. New song Stay Strong – the theme for the film Wind Breaker starring member Junon – is co-produced by Sky-Hi × Yaffle. With weighty strings, guitars and drums, it sketches

an experimental soundscape. Junon co-writes lyrics that echo the film’s message: strength is not only about winning, do not lose what you protect, do not bend or look away – delivered with Be:First’s signature power and delicacy. Since debuting, Be:First has topped charts, filled Japan’s four major domes and embarked on its first international world tour, performing in the US, Asia and Europe. Known for its extraordinary vocal, dance and rap skills, as well as its creative songwriting and choreography, Be:First is redefining what a modern boy group can be. expansive,
