Comedian Nesan to stage shows in KL, Singapore LIVE entertainment curator Mojo Projects is going regional by expanding its Mojo Comedy Series from Malaysia to Singapore, with performances by Indian stand-up comedian Nesan David for his new English special ImagiNesan! in Malaysia and Singapore. On Nov 7, Nesan will perform at Omnia Auditorium, Menara BAC before heading to the performance in Singapore the next day, at Auditorium 302, NTU@One-North. Nesan, who made his Malaysian debut under the Mojo Comedy Series banner early this year with Happy Nding, returns with sharper wit and a deeper dive into the absurdities of modern life. ImagiNesan! will be an exploration of everything from identity and connection to the hilarity of simply being human, told with the honesty and energy that made Nesan a rising force in India’s stand-up circuit. For Mojo Projects, the ImagiNesan! tour is part of a broader goal to nurture the live comedy ecosystem in Malaysia and now Singapore, according to Mojo Projects CEO and founder Ratna K Nadarajan.

Cradle returns with new album Hela Nafasku after 20 years

AFTER nearly two decades of silence, alternative rock band Cradle is making a comeback with a brand-new studio album titled Hela Nafasku . Reviving the 1990s spirit that once propelled it into Malaysia’s grunge scene, the band – originally formed in 1995 – now returns with a new lineup to fulfil a long-delayed dream. Cradle’s founder Addy Rasidi said the production of Hela Nafasku is not just a symbol of its rebirth, but a continuation of the band’s Nusantara-inspired legacy that has defined its music since the beginning. “ Hela Nafasku , which took two years to complete, is truly a celebration. What makes it even more meaningful is that this third album is being launched during Cradle’s 30th anniversary – at a time when full-length albums are seen as less relevant than singles. “The dream to revive Cradle had been on hold while I was busy with solo projects. But now, the hibernation is over – Cradle is back, carrying the legacy forward for a new generation,” he said in a statement earlier this week. In addition to Addy on lead guitar,

Cradle now consists of Eiz Mohd (vocals), Zul Wahab (bass) and Adha Lizam (drums) – members carefully selected to ensure the band’s soul and musical identity remain intact. The album is released under Rasa Karya, the label owned by music legend Datuk Ramli Sarip, who also serves as executive adviser. Addy and Lisa Ang took on the roles of producers, artistic directors and arrangers. Recorded at Studio 47 in Singapore and Sonic in Malaysia, the album features 11 new tracks, including the first single Ayuh! composed by Addy and Eiz. Cradle first gained attention with their debut album Gurindam Keluli (1996), and later soared with Ceritera Awan (2007), which won Best Song and Best Album of the Year (2008) at the Anugerah Planet Muzik for its hit Ayu . Hela Nafasku will be officially introduced to fans through Cradle Live!, a concert to be held at Poolside Bistro, Ideas Hotel Kuala Lumpur on Nov 14, featuring Ramli Sarip as the special guest. Tickets are priced at RM160 and RM250. – Bernama
