The Selangor International Business Summit 2025 opened at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on Wednesday, bringing together more than 700 exhibitors and 50,000 visitors over four days. POWER-FUL SENSOR ... NanoMalaysia Bhd, an agency under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Mosti), in collaboration with Enhance Track Sdn Bhd and Universiti Tenaga Nasional, officially launched its Wireless-Powered IoT Battery Water Level Sensor System during the National Innovation and Commercialisation Expo 2025 at World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur, on Thursday. SUSTAINABLE MINING ... Tin miner and metal producer Malaysia Smelting Corporation Bhd on Wednesday announced that 80%-owned subsidiary Rahman Hydraulic Tin Sdn Bhd won the Best Practices in Metallic Minerals Mining Award at the 4th Asean Mineral Awards 2025 held in Vientiane, Laos. The awards aim to recognise excellence in environmentally and socially sustainable mineral development across Southeast Asia. Rahman Hydraulic Tin executive director and senior general manager Madzlan Zam and environmental manager Mohd Azmizan Sulaiman represented the company at the award presentation ceremony.

RESOUNDING APPROVAL ... Oasis Harvest Corporation Bhd announced on Wednesday that shareholders resoundingly approved - with over 99.99% votes in favour - the company’s proposed acquisition of Metta Food & Lifestyle Sdn Bhd, the operator of the renowned De.Wan 1958 by Chef Wan and Cafe Chef Wan brands, for a total cash consideration of RM30.8 million. IN THE FAST LANE ... Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd in collaboration with STAR Systems International has successfully demonstrated Malaysia’s multi-lane fast flow (MLFF) proof of concept tolling system, marking a significant step towards barrier-free and smoother travel for motorists. An MLFF knowledge sharing session was held for stakeholders and industry partners on how global tolling technology integrates with Malaysia’s payments ecosystem, Touch ’n Go said in a statement.
