M ALAYSIAN fans of CP Foods no longer need to wait for their next trip across the border to savour the brand’s popular ready-to-eat burgers, sausages and meatballs. Lotus’s Malaysia has officially become the first hypermarket chain in the country to carry the full chilled range, offering shoppers the chance to pick up these convenience-driven snacks closer to home. The launch took place at Lotus’s Kepong, where the new lineup was introduced by CP Foods president Montree Srihamontree and Lotus’s Malaysia commercial director Lee (STRACCIATELLA SOUP) Italian egg drop soup, also known as Stracciatella soup, is a delicate Roman dish made with clear broth and gently whisked eggs, finished with croutons and fresh parsley. Soothing, simple and great for when you are feeling under the weather. Ingredients For the croutons 2 slices white sandwich bread 30g Emborg Unsalted Butter For the chicken stock (makes approx 1.5 litre): 1.75kg raw chicken bones (backs, wings, necks or carcasses) 2.75l cold water 1 large onion (peeled and halved) 2 carrots (roughly chopped) 2 celery stalks (roughly chopped) 1 bay leaf 6 whole black peppercorns 6 parsley stems (reserve leaves for soup) TASTY RECIPE ITALIAN EGG DROP SOUP

Toss/stir often to ensure even browning. 0 Remove the browned croutons and place on paper towels to drain of excess oil. Step 2: Make the chicken stock 0 Place raw chicken bones in a pot,
cover with cold water, bring to a boil, then discard the water and rinse the bones under cold water. 0 In a clean large pot, combine the rinsed bones with cold water and slowly bring to a gentle simmer.
0 Skim off any foam and impurities that rise to the surface. 0 Add peeled onion, carrots, celery, bay leaf, peppercorns and parsley stems. 0 Maintain a very gentle simmer
