INDIA captain Suryakumar Yadav played down the hype around the cricket rivalry with Pakistan after beating their bitter rivals by six wickets in the Asia Cup in Dubai on Sunday. India rode on a blazing 74 from opener Abhishek Sharma as they chased down a target of 172 in 18.5 overs in the Super Four clash, where they again refused to shake hands with their opponents. It was India’s second win in the Twenty20 tournament over Pakistan in a week after their group stage clash. It was also their 12th in 15 T20 internationals. Asked if this dominance showed that the rivalry was waning, Suryakumar replied: “You guys should stop asking questions about the rivalry between India-Pakistan. “According to me, if two teams play 15-20 matches, and if it is even, then it is a rivalry. 13-0, 10-1, I don’t know what the stat is, but this is not a rivalry anymore.” Pakistan’s last of three T20 wins over India came in the Asia Cup in Dubai in 2022. India and Pakistan only play in multinational tournaments as their bilateral ties have been stalled since 2012 over political tension. TAKE NOTICE that the Writ and Statement of Claim in this action dated 26th June 2025 have been issued against you as the 1st Defendant in the High Court in Sabah and Sarawak at Kota Kinabalu by the Plaintiff, CHIN SIEW SHEN (NRIC NO. 430913-71-5124/H0587518/002485) in which the Plaintiff claims against you and 2nd to 5th Defendants for: (1) A declaration that the said MOTs and its ancillary supporting documents are forgeries; (2) A declaration that the 1st Impugned MOT dated 27.03.2025 purporting to transfer the said Land from the Plaintiff to the 1st Defendant and the 2nd Impugned MOT of even date purporting to transfer the same land from the 1st Defendant to the 2nd Defendant are invalid, null and void; (3) A declaration that the purported transfers of the said Land involving the Plaintiff to the 1st Defendant and the 1st Defendant to the 2nd Defendant are invalid,null and void; (4) A declaration that the Order issued by the 3rd Defendant in issuing a certified copy of the title dated 24.03.2025 to be set aside; (5) A declaration that the certified copy of title for the said Land issued by the Lands and Surveys Department on or about 24.03.2025 is invalid,null and void; (6) A declaration that the original issue document of title to the said Land currently in the Plaintiff’s custody remains the valid, operative and sole official landowner s copy of the title; (7) An injunction to restraint the 1st and 2nd Defendants, their servants and/or agents,from dealing with the said Land; (8) An Order that the 1st and/or the 2nd Defendants deliver up the certified copy of the title within seven (7) days from the date of the Order to the Plaintiff s solicitors for onward cancellation by the 4th & 5th Defendants; (9) An Order that the 3rd,4th and/or 5th Defendants do forthwith:- (a) cancel or cause to be cancelled any endorsements on the title deed for the said Land giving effect to the said MOTs and every consequential entry flowing therefrom; (b) cancel or cause to be cancelled the said certified copy of title for the said Land issued by the Lands and Surveys Department on or about 24.03.2025; and (c) reinstate the Plaintiff as the sole registered owner for the said Land. (10) General damages including aggravated and/or exemplary damages against the 1st and 2nd Defendants,to be assessed; (11) Interest on all sums awarded at the rate of 8% per annum from the date of filing until realisation,pursuant to Section 11 of the Civil Law Act 1956; (12) Costs of this action on a solicitor-and-client basis; and (13) Such further or other relief as this Honourable Court may deem just and expedient. If you desire to defend the said action,you must appear either in person or by your advocate before the High Court in Sabah and Sarawak at Kota Kinabalu.
