Donation
Campaign 5.0 Date: Sept 6 Time: 11am–5.30pm
Venue: IOI City Mall, Putrajaya (Basement 3, West Wing – opposite bus terminal) Spread Love Foundation is organising the Blood & Organ Donation Campaign 5.0, in collaboration with St John Ambulance Malaysia and other partners. This campaign is dedicated to raising awareness and encouraging Malaysians to step forward as blood and organ donors.
Discovering a Beautiful Mind Date: Until Sept 14 Venue: Centre Court, The Curve, Mutiara Damansara Entry fee: Free Organised by Galeri Kita in collaboration with Artists’ Corner, the event unites 50 artists – neurodivergent (individuals with autism, ADHD, dyslexia and other unique traits) and neurotypical (those without such conditions) – to co-create on equal ground. Here, there is no charity lens, no tokenism, no labels that diminish. Every brushstroke, sculpture and installation will stand as proof that creativity is universal.
Works on Paper: Art Inside the Wallet Date: Until Feb 18, 2026 Time: Monday to Thursday, 8.30am–4.30pm Venue: Galeri Seni Johor, Johor Bahru Entry fee: Free Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery’s exhibition traces the evolution of banknotes from barter systems to modern-day currency. It celebrates the artistry and cultural significance of banknote design, showcasing creativity, historical milestones and technological advancements through interactive experiences. The exhibition features a curated selection of 30 world banknotes presented in a giant banknote maze.
BAC Education’s Music4Good 2.0 Date: Sept 20 Time: 7.30pm–10.30pm Venue: Horizon Banquet Hall, Menara BAC, Petaling Jaya Entry fee: RM2,500–RM10,000 (table reservations – 10 pax with dinner) The Polymaths featuring Raja Singham, Azlan Shaharbi, Siva Ramanathan, Sudesh Kumar Nair, Sundara Raj Ramamurthy and friends are returning to the stage in aid of Uplift, an NGO under the BAC Education Group. 100% of donations will go directly towards providing education, essential aid, necessities and life-changing opportunities to communities in need. CIMB Artober Art & Soul Date: Sept 26–28 Time: 12pm–8pm Venue: Hall 1, Mitec, Kuala Lumpur Entry fee: Free The CIMB Artober Art & Soul returns this year, showcasing artistic excellence that includes an exclusive collection of pieces shown for the first time from legendary artist the late Datuk Ibrahim Hussein, private pieces from the AFK Collection and an exhibition entitled “Nothing Exists Alone” by artist Tan Kai Sheuan.
Art for Strays Date: Sept 6–7 Time: 11am–7pm Venue: GMBB – Level 8 Gattai Studio, Level 4 YY’s Cat Stories, Level 3 Reading Corner Entry fee: Free This heartwarming initiative combines art and compassion under the theme “Giving Strays a Voice through Art”. The programme includes an 12-artist art exhibition, a fun and lighthearted showcase of artworks “created” by pets themselves, pet-themed workshops, a mini
marketplace and the Art for Strays Sharing Session where creators share their personal journeys with animals.

Drums: A New Beat Beckons Date: Sept 12–14 Time: 3pm, 8pm Venue: Permaisuri Zarith Sofiah Opera House, Johor Bahru Entry fee: RM88–RM328 Drum Up JB returns to the Permaisuri Zarith Sofiah Opera House with a series of fund-raising shows in a bid to establish themselves as a permanent cultural attraction at the hallowed venue. The shows aim to honour the cultural roots of 24 Festive Drums while incorporating contemporary elements that make this a uniquely Malaysian performance.
Venue: Studio 5, KLpac Entry fee: RM60–RM80 Inspired by neuroanatomist Dr Jill Bolte Taylor’s stroke experience, Searching Blue draws from deep reflections on how we relate to one another
and to the environment around us. This 80-minute work begins indoors at KLpac’s Studio 5 before unfolding into the surrounding spaces. Since its premiere, it has been performed 25 times across five cities.
