HOSPITALITY PARTNERSHIP ... Malaysian-owned hospitality group Riyaz International Sdn Bhd has formalised a strategic partnership with Jin Jiang Hotels China Region to launch RJJ Hotels Sdn Bhd and expand its footprint across Southeast Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific region. EV HANDOVER ... Pro-Net, the distributor of Proton e.MAS and smart Malaysia vehicles, on Tuesday officially handed over a fleet of electric vehicles to the Ministry of Transport. This is in line with the Low Carbon Mobility Blueprint 2021-2030 and Pro-Net’s commitment to support Malaysia’s transition to sustainable transport. AFFORDABLE HOME FINANCING ... Bank Pembangunan Malaysia Bhd (BPMB) has extended RM111 million in financing to Beaks Development Sdn Bhd via subsidiary Rimbun Purnama Sdn Bhd to support the development of 1,000 residential units in Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur. The project will feature 500 affordable homes under the Perumahan Penjawat Awam Malaysia (PPAM) scheme for civil servants, alongside 500 open market units. ALL-ROUND APPROVAL ... Betamek Bhd shareholders approved all resolutions tabled at the company’s fourth annual general meeting and extraordinary general meeting held in Rawang on Thursday. They also approved the payment of a final single-tier dividend of one sen per ordinary share for the financial year ended March 31 2025, payable on Sept 12. ENERGY SUPPLY DEAL ... Gas Malaysia Energy Advance Sdn Bhd (GMEA), a joint venture between Gas Malaysia Bhd and Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions Corporation, have formalised a 15-year energy supply agreement with FGV IFFCO Sdn Bhd (FISB). GMEA will design, construct, own and operate a gas turbine co-generation system at FISB’s manufacturing facility.
