AFTER more than a decade away from Malaysia, the King of R&B and UK Garage, Craig David, is set to delight local fans with the exclusive concert “Craig David Presents TS5: Live in Kuala Lumpur” on Nov 10. The concert by the legendary singer from the UK will be held at Mega Star Arena here, especially for fans who have followed his musical journey since the early 2000s. In a statement, organiser T-Rex Studio said the concert will feature the special TS5 concept — a combination of live vocals and DJ sets that has made David a global phenomenon since it was introduced in 2012. “TS5, which began as a radio show from his apartment in Miami, has since toured prestigious stages around the world such as Ibiza, Dubai, London and Tokyo. Syafinaz Selamat has been appointed Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts (FMSP), Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI), for a one-year term beginning last July 1. UPSI vice-chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Md Amin Md Taff said the appointment was a great honour from the university and aligned with efforts to bring leading figures from the arts industry into the academic ecosystem. “She is an artistic figure with a high reputation not only as a singer and artiste, but also as an educator with vast experience.
