Milli makes history at Lollapalooza RAPPER Milli has become the first Thai artiste to perform at Lollapalooza, one of the world’s largest music festivals. Previously, she made history as the first female solo artiste from Thailand to perform at the Coachella music festival, creating a viral moment by eating mango sticky rice on stage. Held at Grant Park in Chicago, US, Lollapalooza hosts over 400,000 attendees and its growing popularity has led to international editions in countries such as Chile, Brazil, Argentina and Germany. Milli made a surprise guest appearance alongside Knock2, a Laotian-American DJ and producer, joining him on stage to perform Dance or Dead , their fiery collaboration featured on Milli’s album Heavyweight and included in Knock2’s set. Together, they delivered a high-energy performance during Knock2’s closing act on the Perry’s Stage on the night of Aug 1. This year’s Lollapalooza festival featured global headliners such as Korn, Tyler, the Creator, Olivia Rodrigo, A$ap Rocky, Sabrina Carpenter and Martin Garrix. Asian artistes were also well-represented, with Twice and Katseye leading, following top acts such as NewJeans, Stray Kids and Yoasobi from previous years. Known for constantly reinventing her image and delivering fierce rap flows, Milli is a Thai rapper who has quickly found popularity under her label Yupp! Entertainment. Milli has seen major collaborations, including Just Being Friendly with Thai band Tilly Birds, and Mirror Mirror with F.Hero and Changbin from Stray Kids, both of which surpassed 100 million views on YouTube. Additionally, she has worked with the global record label 88rising for the official remix of Bibi’s The Weekend , which has over 80 million views on YouTube, and collaborated with Jackson Wang on the track Mind Games . Most recently, she also appeared as a special guest at Jay Park’s 2025 Jay Park World Tour in Bangkok. She was featured twice on the iconic screens of New York’s Times Square: first in Spotify’s 2021 Equal campaign, which promotes women in the music and audio industry, and more recently in the promotional visuals for her album Heavyweight . In 2022, she was named one of the 100 most influential women in the world by the BBC.

Gaga, Bruno Mars lead nominees for MTV’s VMAs POP singer Lady Gaga and her Die with a Smile collaborator Bruno Mars landed at the top of the list of nominees announced on Tuesday for this year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). The two women have the most career VMA awards with 30 each. Other nominees in the category are Lamar, Puerto Rican singer Bad Bunny, country singer Morgan Wallen and Canadian pop star The Weeknd.
Gaga scored 12 nominations, including artiste of the year and best album for Mayhem . Mars received 11 nods for Die with a Smile , his Grammy-winning song with Gaga, and for Apt. , a duet with K-pop sensation Rose. Both Mars collaborations will compete for video of the year against Birds of a Feather by Billie Eilish, the Kendrick Lamar diss track Not Like Us , Sabrina Carpenter’s Manchild and others. Superstars Beyonce and Taylor Swift received nominations for artiste of the year.
