Amorim stated. “I think that is really important. Then I think we need to remind ourselves how special it is to be at Manchester United. “That is my feeling. It’s the best club in the world. It should be that way for everyone who is on the pitch with our club. “So I really like that feeling. I really like to be in a group that is healthy. We’re going to suffer. We will have some problems. But that feeling of bonding from everybody is really important. “With Matheus and Bryan, the best thing is that they chose to be here. They had other options, Champions League options and they read everything people say about our club in this moment. But they chose to be here and that is a key point for me.” – The Independent/Express Newspapers

MANCHESTER UNITED head coach Ruben Amorim insists the club will not sell unwanted players on the cheap and he is prepared to welcome them back into the fold if necessary. Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia were left out of the tour of the United States –Marcus Rashford subsequently went on loan to Barcelona – and the so-called “bomb squad” have been training at the club’s Carrington
Amorim says United will not let players go cheaply
the bench. “I believe that little by little, he’ll find his rhythm, start to understand how the manager wants the team to play, get used to the training routines, and gradually settle in. Over time, he’ll earn his spot. “He’s a hugely talented player — he’s already proven that in one of the toughest leagues in the world. He’s also an international. “So, I fully expect him to earn a place in Barca’s starting XI and re-establish himself as a regular in the England squad too.” While Yamal is considered the golden boy of Barcelona’s current team, Raphinha established himself as one of the world’s best players last season. “Right now, he’s an undisputed starter at Barca and already a club icon and I don’t think Rashford is going to take Raphinha’s place. “Other opportunities will arise, and with training, the manager will likely find a way to fit them both into the team.” – Express Newspapers allowing these players to have time to think and to decide. If we reach a point where they have to join the team, they will join the team because they are our players. “I know for a fact that these people, Omar and Jason, and the club have a number (price) for these players. If they don’t reach that, they will be Manchester United players, no doubt about that. “I understand clubs are maybe waiting for the last minute, but they can have a surprise and I’m ready. I’m ready to receive the players. “They have more competition – if you want to play in the World Cup you need to play, so I’m really happy with that because I have more options. If they have to fight each other to play, for me it is perfect.” United have spent about £130 million (RM754m) on Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon but are still in the market for a defensive midfielder and a striker. However, previous mis-steps on transfers mean United are being more circumspect this summer. “At the moment, our club needs to be really careful when we sign a player,” added Amorim. “So if we have to start the season with this squad, I’m happy because all the players that are here want to be here – and that for me is the most important thing.” Amorim stressed the importance of forging a strong team spirit, particularly with new recruits Cunha and Mbeumo, as United look to bounce back from a dismal 15th-place finish last season. “I think in any team, if you see the best teams in the world, you feel the bond between all the players,”
complex. United’s transfer dealings have been widely criticised in recent seasons and Amorim said chief executive Omar Berrada and sporting director Jason Wilcox would not be taken advantage of just to get rid of those surplus to requirements. “Some players have to find a new place to have more space in the team and others clearly show they want a new challenge and want new teams,” Amorim told a press

MARCUS RASHFORD will start as a bench option and have to earn his status as a starter for Barcelona, according to club legend Rivaldo. The 27-year-old forward completed his switch from Manchester United earlier this week, joining on a season long loan with an option to buy for around £30 million (RM174m) next year. Rashford enters an already-stacked attacking arsenal at Hansi Flick’s disposal, featuring superstar trio Robert Lewandowski, Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. And while Rivaldo is a big fan of the England international, he insists that he cannot expect to immediately start games regularly after Barcelona’s successful 2024/25 season. “When a player leaves a club in a tough situation, like he did, and joins a team like Barcelona, it’s only natural that the coach will use training sessions and the first few matches to get a better look at him,” Rivaldo said. “Barcelona had a great season last year, so it’s normal for him to start off on
