The band is set to rock the stage through its Spider Unplugged concert at Mega Star Arena on Oct 25. Spider vocalist Rustam Mustafah, aka Tam, said the concert, performed in acoustic format, is a long-held dream that will feature more intimate and dynamic musical arrangements. “It will be quite challenging for us because unplugged performances are usually done as showcases. But this time we are doing it as a full-scale concert. As such, some songs may be rearranged in joget or inang style, or performed more slowly with drum accompaniment. “We will also incorporate strings, brass and percussion by guest musicians to diversify the performance,” Tam teased, stressing that it will be a proper “full-concert experience” for the audience. Popular for hits such as NazraKu , Aladi , Relaku Pujuk and Kasih Latifah , Spider comprises Tam and Aie on drums, plus two new members: Iss (bass) and Pown (guitar), replacing Tony and Napie, who passed away in 2021 and 2024 respectively.
