Rubiah, Musical Theatre
Date: June 27–29 Time: 8.30pm Venue: MBSA Auditorium, Shah Alam Admission: RM25 (students), RM35 (non-students) Written by Samoza, directed and adapted by associate professor Dr Aminah Rhapor, with artist appearances by Noorkhiriah and Didi Astillah. Organised in collaboration with the Selangor National Arts and Culture Department, Shah Alam City Council and Universiti Teknologi Mara. Rubiah is a pure-hearted girl raised with love and strong religious values. This captivating musical explores the struggles of identity, love and tradition.
Asian Master Series 03: Yoshisuke Funasaka Solo Exhibition: Intipati Date: Until July 31 Time: 9am–4.30pm (Monday–Thursday), 9am–12.15pm / 2.45pm–4.30pm (Friday), 9am–4pm (Saturday) Venue: Museum of Asian Art, University of Malaya Admission: Free The exhibition honours the profound works of Yoshisuke Funasaka, an esteemed woodblock print artist who has trained many international artists, including Malaysian print artist Juhari Said. This is a showcase of 100 works from Yoshisuke’s career.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Experience
Date: Aug 16–17 Time: 3pm and 8pm (Aug 16)/ 3pm (Aug 17) Venue: PJPac, 1 Utama E Admission: RM158 for Tier 1, RM108 for Tier 2 and Priority Seats, Tier 3 for RM68 This event pays tribute to legendary Cantopop maestros Joseph Koo and James Wong. It will feature a live performance by a 55-member Chinese orchestra. The concert will integrate classical poetry narration, LED stage visuals and musical theatre elements to deliver an immersive audiovisual experience.

The Music of Frank Sinatra & Judy Garland Venue: Dewan Filharmonik Petronas Date: July 3–6 Time: 8pm (July 3), 3pm and 8pm (July 4–5), 3pm (July 6) Venue: Papan Haus, Petaling Jaya Admission: RM50 (students), RM80 (non students) Burden of Proof is a theatre production about sexual violence in Malaysia, inspired by real-life accounts, while The Quiet Space is a companion installation and contemplative environment designed to centre community voices and invite deeper reflection. It features written stories from survivors of sexual violence, with visual interpretations by artist Justin Khaw. Date: July 12 Time: 8.00pm Price: RM229 – RM499 The MPO, conducted by Richard Balcombe, pays tribute to classic Hollywood icons through timeless hits like Luck Be a Lady and Somewhere Over the Rainbow, with vocals by Graham Bickley and Katie Birtill.
