Volvo Padel Open Date: June 21–July 27 Time: Depends on activity/match Venue: Joy Division Padel, Padelground, Volvo Car Malaysia is bringing back the Volvo Padel Open, featuring new match formats, more categories, and a focus on new and upcoming players to champion a growing local padel community. With activities scheduled every weekend from June 21 to the grand finals on July 27, the Volvo Padel Open is the largest padel tournament in Malaysia and aims to attract up to 320 players from beginners who have just picked up the sport to advanced enthusiasts who have recently competed in regional tournaments. This year’s participants can also look forward to complimentary coaching clinics before the tournament, a stylish Volvo sports kit, court-side access to the grand finals and exclusive Volvo hospitality. World Pickleball Championship Date: July 16–20 Time: Depending on match Venue: The Pickle Grounds, One World Hotel, Petaling Jaya Tickets: RM248 The world’s largest and most prestigious pickleball tournament series, the World Pickleball Championship (WPC) Series, is set to make its historic debut in Malaysia. Established in 2019, the WPC Series has grown into a global sporting phenomenon. With more than 80 events hosted across over 15 countries spanning four continents, the WPC has attracted upwards of 60,000 registered players to date. Its upcoming edition in Malaysia – the WPC Asia Grand Slam: Malaysia 2025 – has already garnered over 1,000 player participations from over 17 nations, all competing for a total prize pool of up to RM120,000.
