presented entirely by children from the ages of four to 15. Bringing together local and international students of diverse cultural backgrounds, the showcase highlights the academy’s unique role in fostering inclusivity, creativity and confidence through the performing arts.
Borneo Native Festival 2025 Date: May 23–25 Venue: Central Market Kuala Lumpur An annual event that shines a spotlight on the rich culture and traditions of Borneo’s indigenous communities. As Hari Gawai and Pesta Kaamatan approach, the festival will have a concert, dance competition, pageant and culinary delights authentic to Borneo. Conceived by director Lai Wen Xin, a millennial born and bred in the multigenerational Seri Kembangan “Chinese” New Village, TaTaTa perceives socially disconnected elderly from the lens of the youth. The script is co-written with filmmaker Tan Seng Kiat, and performed by Anne James and dancer Audrey Chua.
