Gaining real world experiences

o MSU leads the way in exposing its students to talks and case studies

T HE MSU Global Talk Series held recently by Management and Science University (MSU) at their Performing Arts Theatre was attended by MSU students, staff and also the ambassador from the Kingdom of Bahrain to Malaysia, Dr Walled Khalifa Al Manea, who presented a lecture on his country’s healthcare systems. Dr Walled’s lecture also focused on his country’s crucial progress in enhancing its healthcare systems through initiatives like digital transformation, genomic research, and advanced mental health legislation in tandem with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). He also illustrated the benefits of public-private partnerships, which have further solidified Bahrain’s healthcare infrastructure, fostering innovation and enhancing access to quality care. “Global health challenges necessitate multisectoral collaboration across various fields, including health, education, the environment and the economy”, said Dr. Walled, and “should be regarded as the theme of a global health agenda.” MSU continues to be one of the

top 10 universities in Malaysia and one of the top in the world based on Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, which ranks it as being in the top 50 below 50 years of establishment. Research at MSU is applied, collaborative and multidisciplinary, engaging with communities and industries to reflect the recognition of MSU as one of the top universities with quality education that is both transformative and enriching. By doing this, MSU aims to have an impact in Malaysia and Asia as well as globally in terms of providing a well-recognised qualification.
