o Japanese hip-hop artiste showcases rap powerhouses across five Asian countries on new track
J APANESE hip-hop artiste Awich’s new single Asian State of Mind is in the format of a relay cypher track that includes four rappers from different countries in Asia. Joining forces with some of the best in the game, Asian State of Mind features Korean rapper Jay Park, hip-hop star Kr$na from India, leader Masiwei of Chinese hip-hop group Higher Brothers and the Cambodian hero VannDa. The release of the track is followed by a music video that features all the rappers. Asian State of Mind aims to inspire viewers around the world by expressing the unity, grandeur and strength of Asia. After making her debut as the first Japanese rapper to perform at Coachella in 2024, Awich has been making waves, proving herself to be a formidable presence. Hailed as the queen of Japanese hip-hop, the Okinawa-born artiste has balanced real-life storytelling and humanity, forward-thinking musicianship and a fierce devotion to her heritage and homeland — which is a Japanese prefecture whose troubled history and near mystical beauty have served as an endless inspiration for the rapper–singer–songwriter. Her album Queendom , which was released in 2002, reached number one overall in the Apple Albums category while her single Rasen in Okinawa reached number one on various charts. In 2023, in addition to her first nationwide Zepp tour, she released the album The Union and held her first solo sold-out live performance Queendom – The Union – at K-Arena Yokohama. The latest body of work from Awich dropped last month where she contributed to Shangri-La Frontier season 2’s second course with the opening track called Frontiers . This collaboration comes on the heels of Awich’s recent tie-in with the Netflix drama The Queen of Villains thats adds to her growing list of milestones, such as a performance at Nippon Budokan,

Alexander Stewart to perform in Kuala Lumpur
BREAKOUT singer-songwriter Alexander Stewart is bringing his tour to Kuala Lumpur and he will performing at The Platform in Menara Ken TTDI on May 24. An intimate show, fans and newcomers can expect a raw and unforgettable experience as they sway to Stewart’s emotional ballads. Known for his reflective lyrics and genre-blending style, Stewart’s tour promises to deliver his signature sound, blending modern pop with heartfelt indie melodies. From heart-wrenching ballads to songs of hope and resilience, the young artiste’s show will be an exploration of the full spectrum of human emotion. The Bleeding Hearts Tour will also feature songs from the Canadian artiste’s latest project, which is a musical journal of love, loss and self-discovery. With songs such as Echo , Blame’s on Me and I Wish You Cheated , a melodic
